Snow! Snow! Snow!
Do You Like Snow? I like snow. And, I also like the little girl in the newest book from Slow Tag Press. She’s pretty sure snow is not her thing. But, neither is losing out on all the outside, winter fun.
I’m at that grandparent age where many of my friends are decamping for warmer climes in the winter. Like our little snow-phobic protagonist, I’m not sure that’s the right course for my husband and me. Maybe I need to be brave, like she is, and try something new. Maybe I need to weigh the pros (sun and surf) and cons (shoveling, endless shoveling) and make a calculated decision. Or…
Maybe I just need to stay up north, hunker down and write during the long winters. I’m originally from northern New England. I’ve lived on Mount Rainier out in the Pacific Northwest. For over four decades, I’ve been in suburban Chicago. All those places have lots of cold and snow. I understand winter. I’m a fan of bundling up, even inside the house. Four seasons suit me fine – at least for now.
That means you can expect more books and more blogs, all written from inside our snowy home. Enjoy winter. Have a wonderful holiday (snowy or sandy, wherever you are). Soon it will be 2020 and 100 degree temps and humidity will be on their way again.
